Paradise Valley Christian Preparatory A Community of Spiritual Nurturing and Academic Excellence
At Paradise Valley Christian Preparatory (PVCP), we are proud to be Phoenix’s premier private school for students from preschool through grade 12. Since our founding in 1974, our mission has been to foster a nurturing community where spiritual development and academic excellence go hand in hand. Our dedicated faculty and staff are passionate about guiding students to achieve their highest potential while grounding them in biblical truth.
At PVCP, we take spiritual development seriously, recognizing the unique needs of each student on their faith journey. Our non-denominational approach emphasizes a deep understanding of the Christian worldview, preparing students to be a positive influence in an increasingly secular world.
Our curriculum is infused with biblical principles, and students progress through Bible classes designed to deepen their faith and equip them to defend God’s Word. Lower school students explore biblical themes and stories from both the Old and New Testaments. Middle school students delve into the Bible as a unified narrative of redemption, culminating in an apologetics course in eighth grade. Upper school students further examine competing worldviews and the historical roots of Christianity, finishing with advanced courses in Systematic Apologetics and Theology. Weekly age-appropriate chapels and regular service opportunities ensure that students practice putting others before themselves.
Academic excellence is at the heart of PVCP’s educational philosophy. We believe that the responsibility for student learning is a shared endeavor between the school, parents, and students. Our curriculum exceeds state standards, and our students consistently test above grade level, graduating well-prepared for college.
Our academic program includes Socratic discussion forums, which encourage students to engage in critical thinking and articulate their beliefs. Nearly half of our upperclassmen participate in dual enrollment programs, earning college credits while still in high school. In addition, all upper school students benefit from weekly tutorial groups, where a faculty mentor helps monitor academic progress and develop personalized plans for success.
At PVCP, we are committed to developing students who excel academically and grow spiritually, preparing them to navigate and contribute to the world with confidence and grace.
